Fees

Considering the economic struggles of our nation and community, we are pleased to have the ability to provide adjusted fees and reduced fees to clients in financial need by working with our graduate interns from academic institutions across the state and country. As a result, motivated clients are not turned away – all are given an opportunity for emotional health, wellness, and recovery.

About Our Fees

We are not the lowest fee therapy practice you could go with, but keep in mind the old saying, “You get what you pay for.” We are also not the highest fee therapy practice. We take time to cull out the best, most experienced practitioners. We provide our therapists with weekly clinical supervision to help them continue to learn and grow as therapists.

We also bring an overall treatment approach to clients. We call it “The Kenosis Way.” This strategy has been crafted from over 30 years of experience working with clients. We know the process of personal transformation, based on studying thousands of successful clients over the years. This powerful approach is taught and modeled for each of our therapists and interns. Kenosis is the only counseling center that offers this powerful approach.

A Word About Insurance & Privacy

We do not bill insurance. Some of our clients send in their therapy receipts for insurance reimbursement, but many of our clients value their privacy so much that they come to Kenosis partly because they know we keep their records, diagnoses, and notes private.

Insurance companies are all part of a national medical database, where they collect and house all your medical information. Once you use your insurance for mental health, your diagnosis and treatment codes become a part of that national medical database forever.

Payment Types

We accept cash, check, credit card and many Health Savings Accounts. (HSA)/Medical Flex Spending Accounts are also acceptable forms of payment for services. Additionally, there are some EAP agencies that will agree to pay for services, but this needs to be confirmed prior to the intake/initial consultation. We are in the EAP network for Franciscan St. Francis.

Insurance

Kenosis Counseling Center is listed as an out-of-network with all insurance companies, with the exception of Norma Chitwood, LMHC who is a Military OneSource provider. Please check with your insurance company to determine if you can submit your expenses to receive out of network benefits directly. Kenosis will provide you with an insurance claim form, however, it is your responsibility to submit insurance claims directly to your insurance company. If you choose to do this, be aware that a diagnosis is required to be printed on the insurance claim form.

Emergencies

Kenosis Counseling Center, Inc. offers outpatient mental health counseling services only. If you or your loved one requires more intensive treatment, please call your insurance company for in-network facilities. Otherwise, call your local hospital crisis line, call 911 or go to the nearest emergency room for mental health emergencies. Attempts are made to return all calls within 24-48 hours during the week.
