Debbie brings warmth, gentleness, caring and humor to her clients in an authentic and genuine manner. Debbie’s passion is to help children and adults utilize their strengths and incorporate all life’s experiences into a meaningful whole that will bring a more fulfilling and satisfying life.
Debbie is particularly invested in helping premarital and newly married couples build their marriage on a solid foundation which will enable those couples to establish longevity and satisfaction in their marital relationship. Debbie is also committed to helping couples restore their marriages which have been eroded by life stresses ,such as personality differences, parenting, betrayals, infidelity, work, etc. Working with blended families in order to help the families eventually come together as a healthy unit is also of particular interest to Debbie.
Debbie has counseled children and adults with issues such as anxiety, depression, grief, behavioral issues, marital issues, anger management and physical and sexual abuse. Debbie has personal experience with home-schooling stresses and postpartum depression, thereby, making her particularly invested also in helping others with those two issues.
Debbie obtained both her Bachelor’s in Psychology and Master’s in Professional Counseling from Liberty University. She is a member of the American Association of Christian Counselors (AACC) and has been certified to facilitate the SYMBIS pre-marital program (Saving Your Marriage Before It Starts). Faith is an important part of Debbie’s counseling and she welcomes opportunities to incorporate faith based principles into her counseling sessions as desired.
